From time to time, our editorial team reports articles under the heading “staff”. Often, the byline “staff” is used when transcribing major news stories that come from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and that require little or no reporting. This attribution line is sometimes used when a story has multiple authors or when a story is created by combining previously reported news from different sources. If external sources are used, this is noted in the story.
