A double homicide investigation continues after burnt bodies were found in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (WIAT) — A double homicide investigation is underway after two burned bodies were found inside a car in Birmingham Tuesday morning.

According to Birmingham police, the victims were found in the 1600 block of North 90th Street. Officers from Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched just after 8am following reports of the fire. At the scene, two bodies were found in a burning car.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting BPD with the investigation. Birmingham Police urge anyone who has a missing family member or loved one to call them at 205-254-1764.
