McLennan County Sheriff’s deputy fired after arrest on suspicion of assaulting wife on Mother’s Day

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – A McLennan County Sheriff’s Deputy has been fired after being arrested for assaulting his wife on Mother’s Day, according to an affidavit.

Allan Holloway, 37, is charged with assault/domestic violence.

On Oct. 22, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Crockett in Hewitt for a verbal disturbance on the open 911 line, according to the affidavit.

The victim at the scene said Holloway was her husband and the incident that night was only verbal, according to the affidavit.

While officers were speaking with Holloway at the scene, the letter states, authorities reported that the victim had made comments during a previous call to 911 about Holloway assaulting her on Mother’s Day.

The victim, according to the affidavit, said she had photos of bruises on her arm from the unreported incident.

Authorities opened an investigation into the incident at the scene and then into the Mother’s Day incident, the affidavit said.

The victim said during the incident on Mother’s Day, Holloway grabbed her arm, causing pain and bruising, according to the affidavit.

During the investigation, state authorities obtained photographs of bruises on the victim taken on May 15, 2024.

Additionally, the affidavit states that a third party who was notified of the incident on Mother’s Day also corroborated the victim’s story.

Holloway was arrested on Monday, October 28.

McLennan County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Cody Blossman said Holloway was released after the arrest.
