PHILLIPS, Wis. (WSAU) — A Price County man has admitted to killing a 57-year-old woman back in April.

Christopher Dyer pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of first-degree murder in the April 13 death of Denise Schwartz, who was found shot to death outside her Park Falls home. A firearm was also seized at the scene.

Investigators named Dyer a suspect about two weeks after the incident, although court records show he was taken into custody on April 15. In May, charges were officially brought against him.
