While many of us bemoan the gifts that Santa Claus can bring us, Hollywood star Tom Cruise’s Christmas cake is so famous that it could be argued that he is essentially the film industry’s very own Saint Nick. The actor has been sending out and following these amazing white chocolate coconut cakes to various A-Listers for decades. Top Gun: MaverickGlen Powell has become the regular recipient of the cruise Christmas cake. Oh, and as the actor shared, it’s officially that time of year again, and he’s making me jealous.

While I just sat and watched the best christmas movies with hot cocoa and sweet treats, these balls are no match for the holiday treats Glen Powell fell for. Check that Top Gun: Maverick the actor shared further Instagram:

Yes, I am totally jealous of that. Cruise cake is loved by many great actors throughout the industry, and while I’m happy for Glen Powell, I really want a bite. The actor wrote: “Cruise cake has arrived…” as he shared a photo of a note addressed to him that read, “Warmest wishes this holiday season,” signed by Tom Cruise. Still in 2022 Powell talked about getting a Christmas cakein the following words:

This is a very famous thing. If you’ve worked with Tom Cruise or done a Tom Cruise movie, you get this Tom Cruise cake, and over time it’s become a global operation where every Christmas he sends out I don’t know how many, it could be thousands, I don’t know how many cakes, but this is the most delicious cake you’ve ever eaten. It’s like coconut cake.

Tom Cruise is known for doing stunts himself, but no, he doesn’t bake all those cakes himself. He orders them from Doan’s Bakery in Woodland Hills, California. I could order myself that exact cruise cake Golden bellybut it will cost me $130 and take over a month to get to my door (probably due to the demand the store has this time of year). The batter is described as a coconut cake topped with white chocolate chips, cheese frosting and toasted coconut on top. I’m in tears!

When it comes to famous cake recipients, Kirsten Dunst, who worked with Tom Cruise on Interview with a vampire back in 1994, has been receiving Christmas pastries for thirty years! Other actors who have talked about getting a cake include Tom Hanks, who called it “absolutely fantastic” and Cruise Mission impossible co-star, Hayley Atwell, who admired it.

Once Henry Cavill got it, but didn’t eat it at first because he thought it would be healthy. However, Cavill was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was “the most luxurious, unhealthy coconut cake.” In 2022, Glen Powell also had this to say about how he consumes cake:

My friends who tried it loved it so much that around December 1st they asked, “Hey, has it arrived yet?” So now I have a party at my house where I’m going to eat cruise cake. This is my cruise cake party and I will be inviting people to try a slice or two of the cruise cake.

Between this Christmas cake and the actors possible association for Top Gun 3it sounds like being Tom Cruise’s friend like Glen Powell’s is really worth it. Here’s to the continuation of their friendship – and more coconut cakes!
