Donald Trump’s J.D. Vance Whip Peak Is Stirring Controversy

GOP vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance recently sparked controversy with controversial remarks about transgender and non-binary people, suggesting that some white kids are being encouraged to “become” transgender in order to get into an Ivy League college.

Mr. Vance made the announcement during a podcast interview with Joe Rogan.

“If you’re a middle-class or upper-middle-class white parent and the only thing you care about is whether your kid goes to Harvard or Yale, obviously that path has become a lot harder for a lot of upper-middle-class people. Class kids… The only way these people can participate in the DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) bureaucracy in this country is if they are transgender,” he told Mr Rogan.

Mr. Vance there were also outrageous views on the rights of transgender people and whether they should be allowed to play on sports teams that match their gender identity.

“I am the father of a two-year-old daughter. I don’t want her competing in sports where I’m afraid she’s going to be beaten to death because we let six-foot-one men compete with her in sports,” he said.

According to Mr. Vance, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump could win the “normal gay” vote.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump wins the conventional gay vote, because again, they just wanted to be left alone,” he said.

Abortion rights

Mr. Vance also touched on the right to abortion in the United States and spoke disparagingly about it. He said women were “publicly celebrating their abortions by baking birthday cakes and posting about it”, something Mr Rogan disagreed with.

“I think six weeks is the limit on when you can have an abortion, a lot of people think that then you can’t even tell if you’re pregnant or not, and that puts a lot of women in a very vulnerable position. then there’s this idea that they can go to another state where it’s legal and have an abortion, but they can be prosecuted for it in their state, Mr. Rogan said.

To this Mr Vance said he had “not heard of women being arrested for traveling to have an abortion”.

Mr. Vance also spoke about Mr. Trump’s assassination attempt and climate change in a three-hour episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. He also joked about recent US President Joe Biden’s “rubbish” comment against Mr Trump, saying Mr Biden was helping the former US president win the election.
