Black River Memorial Hospital and Crohn’s Clinic to merge

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) – Black River Memorial Hospital and Crohn’s Clinic are merging to create Black River Health.

We are excited to introduce Black River Health,” said Carl Selwick, President and CEO of BRMH. “This merger brings together the strengths of both organizations, driven by a shared vision of delivering sustainable, high-quality healthcare close to home. This is a bold step to meet the growing health care needs of our community.”

According to a press release from the health systems, the decision to merge was made in response to growing health concerns because Jackson County’s health scores are worse than the Wisconsin county average.

“The future of health care in Jackson County is bright,” said Dr. Michelle Clark-Forsting, president and administrator of the Crohn’s Clinic. “Both BRMH and Krohn Clinic are strong on their own, but together we can do even more to improve the health of our community.”

The merger becomes effective on December 30, 2024.
