Netflix just made it easier to share your favorite moments

Netflix just made it easier to share your favorite moments

Let’s face it: nobody wants to see your demo addams dance on wednesday. Fortunately, you can now easily send to friends the real clip “Wednesday”. — and any other must-watch scenes — p Netflixnewest feature.

Netflix’s “moments” allow its members are ad-free bookmark, save and share your favorite scenes from Netflix shows and movies while you watch Netflix on your phone or tablet. Moments have already started rolling out qualified members worldwide; it will be available on iOS a few weeks before Android devices.

A Netflix representative told IndieWire that they “hope” to make the feature available to ad-supported users in the future. The spokesperson also told IndieWire that “we currently have no plans to port this feature to TV.”

The Moments function can be used with any movie or series.

“All shows and movies on Netflix — originals or licensed titles — can be saved with the new feature,” a spokesperson said. “However, if a licensed title leaves Netflix, any moments saved from that title will also be gone. If the title returns to Netflix, your saved moments will automatically reappear in your list.”

Here’s how it works: Clicking the Moments button at the bottom of the screen will automatically save the scene you’re currently watching to your My Netflix tab. You can watch these scenes anytime, and if you watch an episode or movie, it will automatically start from the scene you bookmarked. So I hope this is what you wanted…

To share moments on Instagram, Facebook, or other platforms (and via messaging apps), just tap the corresponding icon. The recipient of the Moment must be a Netflix member to watch—essentially, the clip creates a timestamp, and the link directs users in their Netflix app directly to the shared scene. That means Netflix will collect another “view” for his records.

The rollout of Moments was accompanied by a new ad campaign called “It’s So Good.” Watch the clip featuring Giancarlo Esposito, Simone Biles and Cardi B below.

Esposito, who opens the ad, stole our viral “Wednesday” example. The clip also shouts out Gra Squid, Stranger Things, Drive to Survive, and Baby Reindeer, to name a few other Netflix originals.
