Multiple Ohio Teens Arrested for Gun Suspected Fentanyl Found During Traffic Stop

Several teenagers in Ohio have been arrested and charged after a traffic stop last week turned up guns and drugs.

Akron Police officers pulled over a vehicle shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, for a traffic and equipment violation. This is according to the message of the Akron police on Facebook.

A 16-year-old driver was charged with driving without a valid license. The front seat passenger, a 17-year-old boy, got out of the car and tried to run away.

According to the report, the teenager was taken into custody after a brief fight in which he punched a police officer.

The police found a loaded gun and more than 19 grams of suspected fentanyl in the teenager’s possession.

The teenager was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, improper handling of a weapon in a motor vehicle, obstructing official business, assaulting a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, drug trafficking, possession of a fentanyl-related compound and criminal mischief.

A third teenager, a 16-year-old boy, was taken into custody after getting out of the back seat. Police found a loaded handgun with a 50-round magazine in a backpack near where the teenager was sitting.

The 16-year-old back seat passenger was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a weapon in a motor vehicle.
