WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2024 set up a fun-filled Sunday night event at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. A WCW throwback event that first started in 1989this year’s edition featured a fun lineup of five matches.

Aside from the tag team match between NXT Women’s Champion Roxana Perez and tag team partner Cora Jade against Julia and Stephanie Wacker, all matches had stipulations. However, they did not need it. This four piece combination was amazing and Wacker and Julia were phenomenal and deservedly won.

Andre Chase and Ridge Holland went at it in the seventh ER match in WWE history. It was a fun time and mostly progress for Holland, who overcame the Chase en route to a resounding win. Holland and wrestling legend Bubba Ray Dudley have some issues that will most likely be resolved.

The NXT North American Women’s Championship competed in one of three Spin the Wheel: Make the Deal matches. Champion Kehlani Jordan followed the gauntlet rules, which meant she had to go through all three members of Fatal Influence (Fallon Hanley, Jacey Jane or Jazymne Nicks) to retain her title. Unfortunately for her, the numbers game proved too much in the end as Henley emerged as the new champion after her friends were distracted in the three-match final. Jordan was the star even after the loss, but Hanley and company were great dance partners.

Tony D’Angelo defended his NXT North American Championship against Oba Femi. Their Spin the Wheel: Make a Deal condition is a Tables, Ladders and Fears match. It was the perfect match to start the night and was filled with big spots between big players. Femi looked like a beast but couldn’t get over the D’Angelo family as they helped Tony get the win in a no rules match.

Last but not least, the NXT Championship main event saw Trick Williams challenge Ethan Page in a final Spin the Wheel: Make the Deal match of three. The match fell under the Devil’s Playground rules and justified the chaos. There was a little bit of everything here, and it showcased Page’s well-known ego as creativity got the better of him as he tried to get rid of the champion late. Williams has kept and built the integration of the Holland and Dudley feud and will likely give us a tag team match at the ECW Arena with all four.

Overall it was a good PLE. Nothing special, but nothing bad. Absolutely fine and what you’d expect from Halloween mayhem with a few creative twists. There were many good moments, comedic and brutal.

I’ve always been one to embrace the more hardcore elements of wrestling, and I loved what we got from that realm tonight. However, the ladies were the highlights of the evening. So congratulations on a great performance ladies. I’m interested to see where things go. Even outside of matches, we saw Zaria make her mark by taking out Fatal Influence after their triumph.

Let’s give out some Uncrowned awards to send us off into the night.

MVP: Stephanie Wacker

The Uncrowned Gem of the Evening: Kehlani Jordan’s Overall Against Fatal Impact

Match of the Night: Stephanie Wacker & Julia vs. Roxana Perez & Cora Jade

Best Spot of the Night: Tony D’Angelo impaling Oba Femi through the ladder

  • Holland attacks Trick

Ridge Holland returned after Trick’s victory and went on the offensive. Paige joined him shortly after, looking for another Ego’s Edge, but Bubba Ray made the save!

We’re definitely going to get at least a tag match out of this. Bubba Ray and Holland’s build was evident throughout the show, and we’re here for it.

  • Page tossed Trick into the step at a terrible angle as he made his way back into the ring. Page almost broke him up with some more moves, but was answered with a Rock Bottom. They traded low blows and Trick won with a dropkick off the steel steps followed by a Trickshot in the middle of the ring. The champion retains.

The match was a little short, but they won a lot of good moments for the Devil’s Ground.

    Winner: Trick Williams

Best (or worst…?!) spot: Paige’s scoop crashes into the steps

  • Page hit an Ego Blade off the steel steps onto the announce table. It was a great spot from an aesthetic point of view, and despite a strong scene of influence, Williams managed to pull it off. Medical staff came out to examine the champion.

  • Trick almost won after landing a Trickshot. Paige was at the ropes and got a foot on them to break the count. It was horribly pointless because of the conditions this match has. Fortunately, the commentary saved it by explaining it and saying that the umpire had made a mistake.

The page rolled out and found a bag of goodies inside. For this match? Some washers, nuts and bolts, not classic buttons.

  • Paige and Trick briefly went into the crowd. Paige ran into a dumpster but got reversed. He kicked out of the pin and proceeded to just completely take over every type of chair attack he could think of. To the back, to the neck, Paige worked over the champion, and the sidewalk slam into a laid out chair was a good spot.

  • Page couldn’t wait for the action to begin as he attacked Trick during his announcement from Rome. He rolled out of the ring to grab a chair and Trick found it too. Armchair battle!

While at the announce table, “All Ego” mocked Vic Joseph’s pumpkin jacket and grabbed a pumpkin that ended up kicking Trick’s head. You love to see it. The trick is to use the ladder afterwards.

  • (C) Trick Williams vs. Ethan Page – Devil’s Playground match for the NXT Championship

The main event has arrived. Trick came out with a cute nod to Willy Wonka for his Halloween outfit. Falls count anywhere.

Mike Rom makes an announcement and has an awesome Beetlejuice costume. I almost thought it was a referee with those stripes.

  • Tatum Paxley is alive!

Booker T hyped up the main event before Tatum Paxley hilariously followed him out of the closed container Wendy Chu had placed her in.

Tatum slyly sidestepped Booker before Ava came out and asked for a match against Choo. They were at the match wheel and Tatum spun it for the Casket Match. Let it be so. Ava came to NXT on Tuesday. Let’s have a party.

  • Bubba Ray and Holland have beef

Dudley and LeGreca were in the crowd doing another recap and preview. That was until Holland came along and interrupted them talking about his win over Chase. Dudley wasn’t having it and warned him not to do it again. This is definitely a build up to the ECW show. Sounds good to me.

  • Tony D’Angelo celebrates backstage with the D’Angelo family

D’Angelo sold the beating of his match with Oba Femi. Rizzo mentioned that she knew who attacked her and she will talk about it on NXT this week. Stay connected.

  • Zaria is back… and has crushed Fatal Influence!

Zaria played again after Henley’s win and appeared behind the trio. More? no problem zaria took them all out and made it clear she was going to be a force.

  • A gloves match is the perfect exhibition match. It should go without saying, but having a champion who breaks through or faces multiple opponents instills genuine belief in the ability to deliver, and Jordan did just that.

Jordan was best matched with Henley, but still had the odds stacked against her when the previous members of the Fatal Influence interfered. This allowed Henley to survive, get his knees up for a 450 splash and hit a running knee on the champ to claim the title. And a new one!

The best was saved for last and both women looked great, but Jordan was the star of the match.

    Winner: Fallon Henley

    Best place: Jordan’s 450 splashes
