Two teenagers arrested for attempted armed robbery in northwest D.C., police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) says it has arrested two teenagers in connection with an attempted armed robbery in northwest D.C. Saturday night.

Police said that on October 26 around 9:40 p.m., the victim was riding his bicycle in the 1400 block of Geranima Street when he was approached by two suspects.

The Maryland Attorney General’s Office is investigating the death of a man while in police custody in Hagerstown

One of the suspects pulled out a gun and told the victim to hand over his belongings.

The suspects left the scene without the victim’s belongings.

Police arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy from Silver Spring, Maryland, and Aaron Smith, 18, from Northwest City, D.C., with attempted robbery.
