Diddy is facing new assault charges in a lawsuit filed by Briana “Bana” Bongolan, who claims the music mogul dangled her from a 17th-floor balcony eight years ago in a fit of rage. The complaint, filed Nov. 26 in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeks damages “allegedly in excess of $10,000,000.00.”

The lawsuit details an alleged incident that took place on September 26, 2016, at the Los Angeles apartment of Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s girlfriend at the time. Bongolan, who described herself as the “quintessential starving artist” and former designer of Diddy’s clothing line, says she was staying the night at Ventura’s apartment when Diddy arrived in a rage.

“On or about September 26, 2016, Sean P. Diddy Combs sexually assaulted Ms. Briana “Bana” Bongolan, hung her from a 17th-story balcony, and then slammed her against patio furniture on the balcony,” the lawsuit states. Diddy’s actions violated Bongolan’s “fundamental dignity, bodily autonomy and sense of safety,” according to the statement.

The lawsuit describes the incident as the culmination of ongoing intimidation and violence. “This event was the culmination of a series of threats, intimidation and violence that colored Ms. Bongolan’s many interactions with Mr. Combs from the day she met him,” the document states.

Bongolan’s lawyer, James R. Nikraftar emphasized the long-lasting impact of the incident. “The attack on September 26 proved conclusively that Ms. Bongolan was right to fear Mr. Combs, and it caused deep and lasting harm,” the statement said. It also highlights Diddy’s alleged threats, including his claim that he was the “devil mother” and that he “could have killed” Bongolan. The lawsuit says the threats were intended to “terrorize, intimidate and instill fear.”

The complaint goes on to describe the balcony incident as an act of extreme psychological and physical harm. “The sole purpose of hanging someone from a balcony is to actually kill them or intentionally terrorize them and deprive them of any concept of mastery over their own bodily autonomy and safety,” the document said. “No wonder that’s exactly what happened to Ms. Bongolan.”

Back in May, this story was confirmed a few months before the recent lawsuit. Tiffany Red, a longtime friend of Cassie Ventura, claimed that Diddy “hung a woman over a balcony. And in Cassie’s chilling lawsuit, she claimed that Diddy “picked up one of Ms. Ventura’s friends like a baby” and hung them over a 17th-floor balcony. Red even wrote about the incident. At that time, she did not name the woman. But now we have more information.

Bongolan’s claims spark new scrutiny of Diddy’s behavior and her past relationships, demanding accountability for the alleged actions that caused her lasting trauma.
