Police say a hit-and-run driver hit a pedestrian in Atlantic County

Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in South Jersey Friday night, authorities said.

The victim of the fatal collision has not been identified.

The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. in the area of ​​South White Horse Pike and Lakeview Avenue in Hammonton.

The vehicle seen leaving the scene after the crash is a white and silver 2013-2015 BMW 3-Series, four-door sedan, Hammonton Police Department the statement says.

Police representatives said that “it is likely that the car has damage to the front part, and more precisely to one of the main or fog lights.” They said he was last seen heading east on White Horse Pike.

It was not possible to contact the local authorities on Saturday evening.
