Woman claims molestation in Bengaluru multiplex, withdraws complaint

Bengaluru: A 24-year-old woman has alleged that she was molested by a stranger at a multiplex in a mall on Hosur Road in Koramangal recently when she went to watch the movie Kanguva with her husband.
According to the police, after they registered the FIR, the woman and her husband approached them and said they wanted to withdraw the complaint, claiming it was a misunderstanding. A woman, a resident of the city of electronics, works in a software company. She told Adugodi police that she and her husband went to the mall and watched a movie around 2:50 pm on November 14 in the gold class. The person sitting in the seat behind her grabbed her left arm. When she returned in shock, he apologized to her, claiming it was a mistake.
She ignored him when he apologized, but after a while the same person grabbed her hand again and touched her waist. He also pinched her waist on the third attempt. When she was in pain, her husband questioned the man. In response, he started an argument and in a fit of anger told the couple that it was not a serious mistake.
After the movie, the couple went to the police station and wrote a statement. During the inspection by law enforcement officers on the second day, the couple turned to the police and gave a statement withdrawing the complaint. According to the police, the woman, her husband and the accused work in software companies.
