What a story

Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Anil Ja joined to Ahem Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday.

The development comes soon after the Delhi minister and AAP MLA Kailash Gaglot announced his resignation from the party, citing broken promises and recent controversies as reasons for stepping down.

Jha is a two-time BJP MLA from Kirari in north-west Delhi.

Jha’s switch to AAP is considered significant

Jha’s move to AAP is being seen as a possible shot in the arm for the party in the area that was BJP bastion for decades.

It has a strong presence in Kirar.

In his statement, Jha praised the AAP national chief Arvind Kejriwal for his work with the Purvanchali community in Delhi, saying, “If there is one person who has worked for the Purvanchali community in Delhi, it is Arvind Kejriwal.”

Jha highlights infrastructure issues, praises Kejriwal’s efforts

Jha also highlighted infrastructure problems such as unauthorized water pipes and faulty sewer lines in his constituency.

He praised Kejriwal’s work in solving these problems, saying, “Drinking water has reached every household in 10 years under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership.”

Kejriwal welcomed Jha into the party and acknowledged his influence on the Purvanchali community.

Kejriwal criticizes BJP and Congress for neglecting Purvanchali community

“Anil Jha is considered one of the greatest leaders of Purvanchal. People from UP and Bihar come to Delhi for study and work. When the DDA failed to build houses for the poor, then illegal colonies were built and a large number of people from Purvanchal were living in them,” Kejriwal said.

“When I became CM, for the first time I started laying roads, sewers, water pipelines… Out of 1,750 illegal colonies, we laid water pipelines in 1,650.”
