Shimla Mosque Controversy: Clarification of Court Judgments on Unsanctioned Floors | Shimla news

Shimla: The Shimla Municipal Commissioner’s Court on Saturday ordered Sanjauli Mosque Committee and state foundation board to clear his stand pertaining to two floors of a five-storied mosque in Sanjaul, Shimla.
On October 5, Shimla Municipal Commissioner Bhupender Kumar Attri’s court ordered the demolition of the top three floors of a mosque in Sanjauli, which was built “beyond the permissible limit” within two months by the Muslim Welfare Committee at its own expense. As the MC submitted the record of the case to the Shimla additional district court, the municipal commissioner’s court could not pass any detailed order on Saturday. all Himachal Muslim Organization (AHMO) went to the district court challenging the Municipal Commissioner’s Court order dated October 5, which allowed the demolition of three unauthorized floors. The case will now be referred to a hearing in the District Court on November 18 for arguments that will allow a decision on whether the appeal is successful.
