1 person found dead after shooting in southeast D.C.: Police

WASHINGTON, DC – Police in the District of Columbia are on the scene of a shooting in the southeast that left one person dead.

A man was found unconscious and not breathing after a shooting at the intersection of Southeast 13th Street and Alabama Avenue in D.C., police said. The shooting happened relatively close to the Congress Heights subway station.

Police have not yet ruled it a homicide.

There is no word on the number of suspects in the shooting. This area remains an active scene.
