SCDC issues warrants for 4 inmates in separate cases

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – Arrest warrants were issued Thursday for four South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) inmates.

According to SCDC’s inspector general, the warrants relate to separate incidents over the past month.

According to information provided by SCDC, the inmates and their charges can be found below:

• Ibn Hudson, 28, attempted murder, assault with a concealed weapon and possession of contraband by a prisoner. Those charges include stabbing a corrections officer in the head with a homemade knife at Broad River CI.

• Robert Lee Myers Jr., 50, second-degree assault and battery. The charge involves seriously injuring a fellow inmate during a fight at Evans CI.

• Rikili Charles Eugene Smith, 36, five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The charges relate to five child pornography videos found in Smith’s Gmail
account with Broad River CI.

• Cornelius Joseph Floyd, 34, supplied contraband to inmates and kept
methamphetamines. The charges relate to a contraband package, including methamphetamine, and a cell phone found in his designated stash cell at Wateree River CI.

Officials said the inmates will be served with warrants and will be subject to bail hearings.
