The Lee County School District says 25 students were discharged by EMS after the first call was made Friday morning during a JROTC ceremony.

In addition, two students were taken to the hospital.

One student’s condition was unrelated to the incident, the district said; however, another student who was transported was treated for “heat-related issues.”

According to the district official, “everything is fine with them.”

The Lee County School District says emergency services were called after 20 students “felt the heat” during a JROTC ceremony Friday morning.
