Death of 11-month-old girl from Croton Park, Bronx, ruled a homicide; there were no arrests

BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) — According to the authorities, the death of the 11-month-old girl was ruled a homicide.

The victim, 11-month-old Jazeli Mirabal, was found unconscious and unresponsive in a bathtub in an apartment on West Farms Road in the Crotona Park neighborhood of the Bronx on August 14.

She was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

At the time of death, the baby’s mother was questioned.

On Friday, the chief medical examiner ruled the death of the 11-month-old child a homicide.

So far, there have been no arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
