Another destination in Oregon has gained international recognition as a dark sky sanctuary

southern oregon, the greatest sanctuary of the dark sky in the world, has just expanded its bragging rights.

The Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve in the southwest Siskiyou Mountains was certified as International Dark Sky site after years of efforts by the National Park Service to improve natural darkness and reduce light pollution.
