“It’s been incredible to be back on the road,” Mike Shinoda said in a new statement. “The support from the fans is incredible and we are ready to take this energy even further around the world. From Scratch is a new chapter for us, and we’re excited to share it with everyone on a bigger scale.”

News about the tour comes in a few hours a mysterious post appeared on Wembley Stadium’s X/Twitterhinting at the upcoming appearance of Linkin Park. The account posted a photo of the exterior screens at the stadium with the words “Countdown to Zero” – ‘From scratch‘ is the title of Linkin Park’s upcoming album.

Linkin Park announced their comeback in September with a live event, where they revealed that Emily Armstrong (formerly of Dead Sara) had become their new co-vocalist. Drummer Colin Britten joined after the band departure of founder Rob Burdon. Founder guitarist Also missing is Brad Delson from the band’s comeback tour, but is still working with them behind the scenes – including being involved in the creation of new music.

Later, Shinoda talked about the “culture” of the new Linkin Park lineup, saying it was “the best we’ve had”.

There was also controversy surrounding Armstrong joining the cast as it was revealed that she appeared to have ties to Scientology and convicted rapist Danny Masterson. Later Armstrong made a statement “to clear the air.”

While some fans are divided on the next comeback Death of Benningtonwhen the band started performing live, Shinoda explained that this version of Linkin Park is “not about erasing the past”. “We’re excited to be back here … it’s starting this new chapter into the future and coming here for each and every one of you,” he said.

He also explained why Linkin Park decided to keep their band name for the revamped line-up, and added that he was “not sure” if they would be re-recording old songs featuring the late frontman.

New album “From scratch” received three stars NMEwho described the record as “an intriguing mix of sensational, knockout stadium rock and some wonderfully tired songs”.

Importantly, From Zero should be seen as a reboot, as exemplified by its title, which pays homage to the band’s former name: Xero. So any inevitable comparison to their largely masterful discography must bear in mind the place from which ‘From Zero’ was born: the organic desire of Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Han and Shinoda to create together again as Linkin Park,” the statement reads. . read.

“The global rock scene is definitely a better place when Linkin Park is on it, and the elite moments on ‘From Zero’ – despite its flaws – prove why.”
