Rajanna-Circilla: Among constant protests constables and their families in the state, the armed reserve constable fell at the feet of Sircilla Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan begging for justice for the constables.

Armed reserve constables Attached to Telangana Special Police (AR) 17 Battalion, Sardapur, on Saturday staged a protest and dharna outside the command post, raising slogans against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Congress party.


After hearing about the protest, the SP visited the battalion. As he was talking to the police, one of the constables fell at his feet, begging for justice.

Although the SP and his militants pulled him up, he touched Mahajan’s feet again, crying and recounting the suffering the constables had to endure.

Many of the protesting constables alleged that they were forced to do manual labor by higher officials, apart from being forced to work in the houses of higher officials.

Demanding that the government implement uniform duties and the promised ‘Ec Police’ system across the state, they wanted the government to follow the system being implemented in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
