You can’t park there! A police patrol car stuck on a railway line after a high-speed chase on Mt Druitt took a wrong turn

A high-speed police chase ended in disaster after a patrol car veered off the road before somehow coming to rest on the tracks.

The bizarre incident happened at the intersection of George Street and Beams Avenue in Mount Druitt, in Sydney’s west, at around 4.40pm on Saturday.

Officers were trying to stop the motorbike when a road patrol car veered off the road before the car became stuck on the railway lines near Mount Druitt station.

Two policemen who were in the car received minor injuries. 7 News reports

A New Wales Police spokeswoman told the Daily Mail that Australian officers were investigating the incident.

It is not known how the car was able to leave the road during the pursuit.

The pictures from the scene showed a part of the marked car installed on the edge of the track.

The rear of the vehicle was on the ground below the slope next to the grass area.

Parts of the front of the vehicle sustained some damage and the passenger side front door was left open.

Officers were seen near a police van which was parked on the side of the road opposite the tracks.

The latest incident follows the death of an innocent driver in a separate police pursuit off the Great Western Highway in St Mary’s on Wednesday.

Officers were following a 43-year-old man who they say was driving suspiciously and allegedly accelerated onto the highway before losing sight of him.

Police have found the driver of a Holden sedan again after it collided with a Toyota hatchback.

A 49-year-old man in the Toyota received first aid, but died at the scene.
