Little Rock man charged in Mulberry child porn case pleads not guilty | Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

VAN BUREN. A Little Rock man accused of child pornography crimes has pleaded not guilty.

Scott A. Boyd, 46, of Rebsamen Park Road in Little Rock, pleaded guilty Wednesday through attorney Arron Edwards.

The case is set for a May 21 trial and a July 1 jury trial, according to Crawford County District Court records.

Boyd is charged with two felony counts of distributing, possessing or viewing material depicting sexual conduct involving a child.

The crimes allegedly took place on May 1, according to court documents.

Boyd was arrested Oct. 8 in Mulberry by Crawford County sheriff’s deputies, according to a booking report.

He posted a $35,000 bond and was released from custody Oct. 9 after his original $100,000 bond was reduced, according to police records.

The case began when a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children was turned over to a Van Buren police sergeant for investigation on May 3, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The tip related to six files uploaded on May 1, each of which contained images of children in sexual poses. The IP addresses pointed to a residence in Mulberry, and police determined that the email accounts involved belonged to Boyd, the affidavit said.

According to the affidavit, the search warrants allowed authorities to examine the email accounts involved, which led to the request for an arrest warrant for Boyd.
