Also, the Ducks just came off a historic 38-17 victory against Michigan Wolverines at the “Big House” in Ann Arbor.

The Oregon Ducks have a lot of momentum, and that excitement continues Autzen Stadium hosts the Maryland Terrapins this weekend. Below are photos of the Ducks in their uniforms. The Ducks wear “Gang Green” jerseys, yellow pants and yellow “Mighty Oregon” helmets.

Of course, in true Duck fashion, Oregon can’t make it to Autzen Stadium without fire uniform answer. The latest edition of the Maryland game from Nike, Van Horne Brands and the Oregon Football Uniform Committee is sure to appeal to fans and football fans alike.

Designed by senior tight end Terrance Ferguson, the Oregon uniform is an offshoot of the “Gang Green” and “Mighty Oregon” designs from this year’s “Generation O” uniform line. The base of the jersey is apple green with yellow details. Yellow stands out brightly on pants with green details. Gloves and underwear are green. Boots have a green design with yellow details.

The helmet design for this look is a Mighty Oregon helmet with a yellow base, green O’s on the sides, and a white and green stripe down the middle. The face mask is yellow.

To match this Oregon State uniform combination, fans are encouraged to wear green to Autzen.

This latest uniform release is part of the Ducks’ “Generation O” uniform line. This set of uniforms is an ode to a decade of the university and athletic program, which is known for its “O” logo, which is based on the outline of the old Hayward Field and Autzen Stadium, stacked on top of each other to form an “O”. .” “Generation O” also acts as a love letter to unified designs of old, bringing several previously used Oregon uniform motifs into a futuristic design, such as carbon fiber shoulder wings and steel shoulder pads to name a few.

This is an even linedeveloped in part by Nike and Van Horne Designs, includes the aforementioned “Gang Green” the all-green uniform worn during the Ducks’ season opener against the Idaho Vandals. “Mighty Oregon” the white uniform with green helmet and green pants (an ode to the 1997 Ducks team) worn in the rivalry game against Oregon State “Heroes” form. designed Oregon coach Dan Lanning wife Sophia Lanning and family for a special cause and Michigan State game, the “Fly Era” – all black uniform debuted against the Ohio State Buckeyes, and “Warp Speed” – all white uniform took the field last week for Oregon when they beat Michigan.

Each uniform this year references a specific moment in time for the Ducks. The “Gang Green” uniforms are reminiscent of Oregon’s 1994 defensive team. “Mighty Oregon” is an ode to 1997 and when former Duck Pat Johnson made “The Catch” against the University of Washington. The “Fly Era” harkens back to the early 2000s with their steel shoulders and the winning 2010s era of Ducks football with their carbon fiber wings. “Heroes” touches on the story of the Lanning family. Finally, Warp Rate references the 2007 Oregon game where the Ducks beat Michigan on the road with the famous Statue of Liberty play fake.

All of this Oregon football fashion history can be traced back to the athletic department’s longstanding relationship with the athletic apparel company Nike. A YouTube video released before the start of the 2024 season tells the story of the ‘checkmark’ and the ‘O’.

Oregon’s new uniform era is overseen by a group of Oregon football athletes and equipment administrators, Kenny Farr. The “Uniform Committee” has chosen specific decades of Oregon football to honor with their uniform designs and is critical in approving the designs before they are manufactured by the company in Portland, Oregon. Farr joined the Oregon program in 2008 and has been instrumental in Oregon’s use of its unique uniform design.
