Officers involved in the shooting | News, Sports, Work

The city of Minot said a man was killed in an officer-involved shooting at a Minot residence Friday morning.

According to city information, Minot police officers were dispatched to a residence in southwest Minot following a report of a domestic disturbance. Minot Central Dispatch received a call of sounds of an argument between a man and a woman and overheard threats to use a firearm.

Law enforcement arrived at the scene of the incident, and two policemen fired their firearms. The man involved in the domestic disturbance was struck and died at the scene.

Per protocol, the officers involved were placed on administrative leave and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation took over the investigation.
