A man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the Russell area

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the Russell area late Friday night.

Louisville police said the shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. on Nov. 8. Officers were called to the 2600 block of West Broadway where they found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound to the head. Officers administered first aid to him until he was taken to UofL Hospital.

Police said the shooting happened in the parking lot of Dino’s Food Mart.
