7 teenagers were injured in separate accidents on Wednesday in Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas State Highway Patrol is investigating two separate crashes that left seven teenagers injured Wednesday. One happened in Elkhart in Morton County and the other in Ellis County.

The crash in Elkhart involved a Chevy Silverado carrying four teenagers and a Suzuki carrying two teenagers southbound on Sunset Drive around 8:45 p.m. According to KHP, the Suzuki made a left turn and crashed into the pickup truck. All six teenagers, ages 15 to 18, were taken to Morton County Hospital with minor injuries.

An attempted robbery left a man dead in a parking lot, police say

In Ellis County, a 17-year-old girl suffered minor injuries when the Ford Ranger she was driving veered off Old US Highway 40 and overturned. It happened around 11:20. The girl was taken to Hays Medical Center.
