A Lapeer County man accused in the apparent murder of a girl will stand trial

LAPEAR, Mich. — Jennifer Pilotto was on the phone with Lapeer County Central dispatch when investigators believe Michael Schocke shot her in the head in August.

“I’m in fear for my life,” Pilotto said shortly after calling 911.
