Another inmate killed himself at Skippack State Prison Friday morning, authorities said

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections confirmed Monday afternoon that Pennsylvania State Police are conducting a homicide investigation into the death of another SCI Phoenix inmate in Skippack on Friday, a day after he was admitted to the prison.

Sean Harden, 45, was found unresponsive in his cell, according to Joseph Terra, superintendent of the Phoenix State Correctional Facility.

To be hardened served 4 to 10 years in prison for indecent assault on a child under aggravating circumstances on a Greene County conviction, Terra said. He arrived at SCI Phoenix on Thursday.

This is the second death at the state prison this year. Dwight Williams, authorities say in August, Ashokkumar was trampled to death by the Guru.

Colony staff responded immediately and performed life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived. Harden was pronounced dead at 6:29 a.m., authorities said.

Per policy, the Pennsylvania State Police has been notified and will investigate. The official cause of death will be determined by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

According to the authorities, the next of kin of the deceased have been notified.

As of 3:00 p.m. Monday, there was no word on the charges or the accused.
