St. Cloud man pleads guilty to child pornography charges | Powerful 790 KFGO

St. CLOUD, Minn. (KFGO/WJON) – A 26-year-old St. Cloud man has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges filed against him in Stearns County.

In February, Ebin Bergerson was indicted on 20 counts of child pornography offenses. On Thursday, he pleaded guilty to five charges. Bergerson is a repeat offender who was convicted in 2016 and 2018 on similar charges.

The case resulted from 10 separate tips from the Minnesota Bureau of Investigation. A St. Cloud police investigator began looking into the tips in December 2023, and court records show more cyber tips came in during that time. Bergerson was arrested and charged after authorities used multiple warrants to search his electronics. The warrants uncovered hundreds of images of child sexual abuse material.

Bergerson pleaded guilty to two counts of distribution of pornographic material and three counts of possession of pornographic material as the victim of an assault.
