PRINCETON, NJ – The Virginia rowing team completed the Princeton Chase at Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey today (Nov. 3).

Other teams competing in the Chase included Bucknell, Clemson, Drexel, Duke, George Washington, Mercyhurst, Temple, UMass and Rhode Island.

“Today was a great opportunity for our entire roster to travel and compete against some of the great NCAA Championship programs in the country,” said Virginia head coach Wesley Ng. “I am especially proud of our first-year rowers and transfer rowers who competed under the Hoosa name for the first time, strengthening and contributing to the progress of our team.

“Putting two crews in the top ten eight seconds apart will make for some good competitive moments in practice. We gained valuable insight into our strengths and areas we need to address and develop. It has been a rewarding and challenging autumn for our team and with one final competition at the Rivanna Romp next Sunday we are focused on building momentum and improving our trajectory for the 2025 Spring season.”

UVA wraps up fall action with the Rivanna Romp on Nov. 10 in Earlysville, Virginia.
