Canadian Member of Parliament Chandra Arya shared a video on social media X of Khalistani extremists attacking Hindu Canadian worshipers inside a Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton. A Canadian MP condemned the violence, saying Khalistan extremists had “crossed a red line”.

“Today, Canadian Khalistan extremists crossed a red line. The Khalistan attack on Hindu-Canadian worshipers inside the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton shows how deep and brazen the violent extremism of the Khalistan has become in Canada,” said his X. read the post.

“I am beginning to feel that there is some truth to the reports that, in addition to the Canadian political apparatus, the Khalistani have actually infiltrated our law enforcement agencies. No wonder Khalistan extremists get a free pass on ‘free speech’ As I have said for a long time, Hindu Canadians, for the safety of our community, must step up and stand up for their rights and hold politicians accountable,” he added.

Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs will brief the parliamentary group

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Vikram Misri is likely to brief Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday about India-Canada ties, which have suffered after Canadian officials accused Indian government officials of ordering the killing of pro-Khalistan terrorist Harjit Singh Nijar .

India recalled its high commissioner to Canada, Sanjay Verma, after security officials there named him a “person of interest” in the investigation into Niiyar’s murder. On October 14, India also expelled six Canadian diplomats, including Acting High Commissioner Stuart Ross Wheeler.

India denies Canada’s allegations against Amit Shah

Earlier on Saturday, India said it had expressed its strongest protest against the Canadian minister’s references to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and warned that such “absurd and baseless” allegations would have serious ramifications for bilateral relations.

Amid a escalating diplomatic row between the two countries, New Delhi also accused Ottawa of “harassing and intimidating” Indian consular staff through audio and video surveillance, a “gross violation” of diplomatic conventions.

Canadian Deputy Foreign Minister David Morrison said Tuesday that Shah had ordered a campaign of violence, intimidation and intelligence gathering against Sikh separatists in Canada.
