Woman accused of threatening neighbors with gun, police say it was Orbeez gun

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A woman has been charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon after she threatened her neighbors with what police said appeared to be a handgun.

Officials say Crystal Newton-Henderson, 44, was arrested Saturday after she allegedly pointed a gun at her neighbors.

According to the affidavit, Newton-Henderson got into an argument with her neighbor, which led to the change.

Officers say a neighbor told them they thought it was a real gun when Newton-Henderson pointed it at them.

They say Newton-Henderson fired multiple shots in their direction, leading them to believe it may have been a BB gun.

When police arrived, they said Newton-Henderson told them she had been drinking and that the gun was not real.

The gun turned out to be an Orbeez toy gun.

Newton-Henderson was transported to Deaconess Midtown for bail and then booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail without bond.
