Police officer injured in ‘riot’ at Dunfermline supermarket, three teenagers say

Three teenagers are to be reported after an incident at an Asda supermarket left a police officer with facial injuries.

Emergency services were called to the supermarket on Halbeath Road in Dunfermline at around 10.55pm on Thursday after reports of a disturbance.

A female officer who responded to the call was injured in the alleged assault.

According to the fact of the incident, two 15-year-old girls and a 14-year-old boy were reported to the relevant authorities.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 10.55pm on Thursday 24 October 2024 we were called to reports of a disturbance at a supermarket on Halbeath Road, Dunfermline.

“A female officer suffered a facial injury when she was assaulted while responding to the incident.

“Two 15-year-old girls and a 14-year-old boy will be reported to the relevant authorities.”
