Driver charged in Methuen crash that kills 2, injures 2 – Boston News, Weather, Sports

METHUEN, MASS. (WHDH) – A driver has been charged in connection with a fatal crash on northbound I-495 in Methuen on Saturday that left two people dead and two others injured, officials announced.

Officers responding to the reported crash found several people trapped inside a heavily damaged pickup truck. One of the residents, a 37-year-old man, died at the scene. Another resident, a 41-year-old man, was pronounced dead at a Lawrence hospital. Two more passengers received non-life-threatening injuries.

The other driver involved in the crash, 26-year-old Katrina Nguyen, turned herself in to the Lawrence Police Department after leaving the scene. She is charged with two counts of negligent vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, leaving the scene of an accident with bodily injury, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and driving with a suspended license.

She is expected to be arraigned Monday in Lawrence Superior Court.

The investigation of the accident is ongoing.
