Fatal beating a A 16-year-old boy at a Halloween party in the southeast suburbs of Phoenix has caught everyone’s attention. What happened to Preston Lord that night at Queen Creek?

And why did it take so long to make an arrest in his death?

Arizona videographer Michael Chow captures this story in a documentary “Main”.

Journalists of the Arizona Republic were the first to compare the beating of Preston Lord by “Gilbert Goon”, a gang of teenagers whose attacks on other teenagers went unchecked by the police for over a year.

Robert Anglen and Elena Santa Cruz interviewed frightened parents and frustrated community members and delved into social media to get the story. They described in detail how the thugs recorded their blitzes on teenagers in parks and garages, outside fast food restaurants and at house parties.

Gilbert was the epicenter of the attacks, which also occurred in Mesa, Chandler and Pinal counties. The authorities started arresting criminals only after that Report of the Republicwhen they reopened closed cases and started new investigations.
