200 drivers were recorded during the police check

Hyderabad: Police nabbed 200 motorists during a drive-by-drink drive on Friday night in Madhapura, Kukatpally and Medchal, Cyberabad Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Joel Davies said. Last weekend, Cyberabad police registered 400 cases of drunken driving at six traffic junctions.

On Saturday, social networks were abuzz with reports of drunkenness checks at exits from ZMK. To this, JCP Davis said: “This is not specific to the ORR, we carry out inspections on a regular basis and at random points. We are also checking certain exit points from the ORR.”

Davis said the police will present the drunk drivers before the sentencing judge.
