A reward is being offered for information about a fatal shooting in Wicomico County

SALISBURY, Maryland — Maryland State Police and East Coast Crime Squad are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the Oct. 28 fatal shooting in Wicomico County. Authorities are looking for tips in the case, which left one man dead and another injured.

The shooting happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in the 800 block of West Road. Maryland State Police from the Salisbury Barracks responded to the scene and found 32-year-old Tevin Mumford of Salisbury suffering from gunshot wounds. Mumford was taken by ambulance to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, where he was later pronounced dead.

The second victim, identified as 33-year-old Ekoi Emmanuel Spates, also of Salisbury, was taken to TidalHealth by a passerby. Due to his serious injuries, Speights was later transferred to Christiana Care Christiana Hospital in Delaware for further treatment.

The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances of the shooting. Police have not yet identified the suspect and are asking the public to provide any information that may help solve the case.
