I-10 is closed in Phoenix after a pedestrian was hit

PHOENIX (AZ Family) — A person was seriously injured after being struck by a car overnight on Interstate 10 in west Phoenix.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said around 4 a.m. that officers were investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on I-10 near 35th Avenue.

The DPS reported that the pedestrian was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police closed eastbound I-10 at The Stack interchange with I-17. All eastbound traffic is being diverted to the northbound I-17 exit.
