The free workshop aims to help women re-enter the workforce

PHOENIX. As Arizona’s unemployment rate continues to rise, a free workshop is being offered to help women re-entering the workforce.

To support women in this difficult transition, a group of dynamic female entrepreneurs is hosting a free event aimed at empowering and preparing participants to return to work.

This special workshop will last only a few hours and will take place on Tuesday, October 29th.

The event will offer practical tools to help participants overcome common obstacles such as imposter syndrome.

Hosted by a dedicated group of successful experts, these women will help attendees stay relevant in today’s ever-changing work environment.

Interview coach Brit Powell is one of the participants of the event. Speaking to ABC15’s Kaylee O’Kelly, she emphasized the importance of first impressions in the hiring process.

“The best thing anyone can do is practice. Find someone who regularly interviews people, give them your resume and ask them to do a mock interview. It’s one of the most effective ways to build confidence,” Powell explained.

In addition to learning invaluable interview techniques, attendees will also have the opportunity to receive a free professional headshot, perfect for updating their LinkedIn profiles or enhancing their social media presence.

They will be taken by Jennifer Lloyd, a philanthropist and professional photographer.

“A professional headshot can open doors. A lot of women don’t realize the costs behind it, and when you’re looking for a job, every little expense adds up,” Lloyd said.

The bonuses don’t end there. This group will even offer free color analysis to help members find the best wardrobe colors for their skin tone.

The goal is to make sure these women look and feel their best as they return to the professional world.

The workshop is free, but the number of places is limited. You must have a reservation to participate.
