Watch: Aerial footage shows Spanish city covered in mud after historic, deadly flood

PAIPORTA, Spain – Hundreds of soldiers from the Spanish army are joining the rescue and relief efforts after the accident. catastrophic floods along the eastern part of the country.

Ejército de Tierra reports that special operations forces have already arrived in the city and are carrying out rescue operations, while another 300 soldiers are heading to the disaster area.

Aerial shot taken from an army helicopter above the city of Paiport, not only extensive damage is visible, but also dozens of city blocks covered in mud and scattered vehicles carried away by the rushing water.
