Leader Jubo Dal dies when a boat collides with a trawler on the Meghna River

Jubo Dal leader was killed when a speedboat rammed into a trawler in the Munshiganj Sadar area of ​​the Meghna River last night (November 1).

Four others were injured in the incident, said Shamsul Alam Sarkar, Superintendent of Police, Munshiganj.

The incident took place around 10:00 pm when a speedboat coming from Dhaka collided with a trawler in Jajira area of ​​Munshiganj Adhar Union.

Shanto Ahmed, 35, joint in-charge of Munshiganj Sadar Sub-Division Jubo Dala, sustained serious injuries in the incident. He was first taken to Munshiganj General Hospital for first aid and then to a private hospital in Dhaka where he breathed his last around 2:30 am today (November 2).

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased claims that the incident was a premeditated murder.

Munshiganj SP Shamsul Alam Sarkar said they are looking into the claim.
