A 23-year-old man was fatally shot Friday in Montgomery, police said

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death Friday afternoon in Montgomery, police said.

Montgomery police and firefighters responded to the 1900 block of Gibbs Drive around 4:25 p.m. Friday for a report of a person shot, Lt. David Wise said.

At the scene, authorities found 23-year-old Montgomery resident Zachary McMinns with a fatal gunshot wound, Wise said.

McMinns was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information about the killing was released.
