RCPS increases safety precautions after opening in Elkton Elementary

Elkton, Washington (WHSV) – Rocking Country Schools have taken additional security measures in Elcton’s elementary school after opening evidence that indicate the presence of an unauthorized individual on Wednesday. However, an unauthorized person never watched property, officials said.

A statement sent by RCPS families from Kaleb Bailey, Director for Security and Security at School, there are now additional construction locks in the area, all potential entry points have been provided and observations on school sites have been provided.

In a statement, Bailey stated that RCPS reported law enforcement agencies about the situation and “working closely with them to ensure the constant security of our school community.”

“While this incident concerned, we assure you that we have taken quick and thorough action to resolve the situation. Law enforcement agencies assured us that this is not a constant threat, ”Bailey said. “We encourage all community members to stay up to date and report any suspicious measures to the school administration or local authorities. Our collective vigilance helps to keep our school and the community of Elkton safe. ”

Bailey also stated that the usual practice of controlling all buildings, as well as in the city police and school resources is often present in school ownership. RCP also pursues a policy that the outer doors remain closed and blocked.
