Jaylen Sloan’s twin brother, Jaylon, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Sloan appeared in a Milwaukee County courtroom on Wednesday. According to the criminal statement, he was drunk at the time of the accident, and his blood alcohol content was approximately three times the legal limit.

“I just want to ask why you ruined your life and ours?” Harry asked. “Just why?”

Evidence and debris still lie along Hampton Avenue, where investigators say Sloan hit two parked cars before crashing into that tree.

The children were with their father for the weekend. Sloan admitted he had been drinking, but told investigators he did not remember the crash.

“If I knew what I know now, I wouldn’t trust my kids with their own dad,” Harrielle said. “I don’t even have words, honestly, just horrible actions.”

Documents show the twins were sitting in the front seat, not wearing seat belts, with booster seats in the back.

His cash bail was set at $200,000. He is due back in court next month for a preliminary hearing.
