Heidelberg prosecutor pleads not guilty to buying 13-year-old girl – News 2oceansvibe

A lawyer from Heidelberg, 35-year-old Karel Benjamin Schoeman, was accused of repeatedly raping a 13-year-old girl, whom he “bought” from her 38-year-old mother.

The “mother” allegedly forced her two underage children into prostitution and Shoman allegedly bought her 13-year-old for 160,000 rand.

Schoeman, who is a registered solicitor and practicing solicitor, allegedly made his first order with a 13-year-old girl in September 2022. Between September and November, he made several more bookings until he allegedly approached the mother to “buy” the child.

Schoeman spent most of Wednesday with his mother in the dock at the Johannesburg High Court sitting in Palm Ridge, saying he understood the charges against him and pleaded not guilty.

The 26 charges against this vile creature include rape, child abuse, use of a firearm, conspiracy to commit sexual acts, use of children or profit from child pornography, and aiding and/or abetting the creation and production of child pornography.

According to the prosecution, Schoeman approached the mother to “buy” the victim from her and they agreed on 160,000 rand. He allegedly made a down payment of 24,000 rand and also gave her a car to use.

He allegedly had sex with the child every day either in the guest house or in the mother’s apartment in Heidelberg. When the victim refused to have intercourse with him, he allegedly pointed a firearm at her and threatened her.

Also, the lawyer allegedly filmed sexual acts.

“During the day, the victim was kept in a closed room without food, water or a mobile phone.”

TimesLIVE reports that a mother is accused of forcing her daughters to have sex or to have sex with various men in exchange for money before they turn 13. She is also accused of advertising her daughter’s services on Internet sites such as Sex Trader and Red Velvet.

The 38-year-old mother faces 72 charges, including nine counts of sexual exploitation of children, nine counts of rape, human trafficking, kidnapping, child abuse, and creating child pornography.
