On Tuesday, the temperature will rise to 20 degrees, snow is possible

WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — The meteorological group of the first warning is at COLD WARNING Tuesday is forecast to be a cloudy and cold day with highs of only 1 to 20 degrees. Winds will be lighter than yesterday, but even a light breeze will keep the chill in the low-teens this afternoon.

An approaching cold front will bring the possibility of several snow flurries to the region today. Accumulation is not expected.

Skies will clear after midnight with lows in the single digits to the low teens. In some areas, the cold may drop below zero degrees.

Wednesday will be the last bit of cold air and will also be the coldest day of the week. Temperatures will start out in the single digits and barely climb into the twenties, with a sub-zero wind chill in the morning and only climb into the single digits.

Temperatures will finally climb above freezing by Thursday afternoon. It will still be colder than average, but at least temperatures are moving in the right direction.
