Urvashi Rautela flaunts her diamond jewelery when asked about Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing

Actress Urvashi Rautela recently found herself at the center of controversy after commenting on Saif Ali Khan’s recent stabbing incident. The actor initially shared an apology on social media, but soon deleted it, causing backlash.

The incident took place after Rautela was asked during an interview about the attack on Saif at his residence in Mumbai. While expressing concern for the actor, she also opened up about her personal insecurities about wearing expensive jewelry, mentioning her gifts: a diamond-encrusted Rolex and a mini watch.

“It is very unfortunate. Now Daaku Maharaaj has crossed Rs 105 crore at the box office and my mother gifted me this diamond studded Rolex and my father gifted me this mini watch on my finger but we don’t feel confident wearing it openly outside. There is such insecurity that anyone can attack us. Whatever happened, it was very unfortunate,” she said.

Rautela later apologized on Instagram saying, “Dear Saif Ali Khan Sir, I hope this message has given you strength. I am writing with a sense of deep regret and sincere apologies. Until now, I was completely unaware of the intensity of the situation you faced. I am ashamed that I allowed myself to be consumed by the excitement surrounding Daaku Maharaaj and the gifts I was receiving instead of pausing to acknowledge and understand what you are going through.’

“Please accept my sincerest apologies for being so ignorant and insensitive. Now that I know the seriousness of your case, I am deeply moved and want to express my unwavering support. Your grace, dignity and resilience in such a difficult time is truly admirable, and I have nothing but infinite respect for your strength,” she added.

The actor promised to prioritize compassion and understanding in the future. However, her decision to delete the post soon after only increased the criticism.

Social network users called her actions a “PR move”. One user commented: “Why apologize if you’re just going to take it down? She doesn’t even seem to take her apology seriously.”

The stabbing incident took place on Thursday morning when an assailant barged into Saif’s house, leaving the actor with injuries near his spine and neck. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital and underwent several operations. Saif’s team shared a statement and said that he is now out of danger and recovering.

As of Saturday, the Mumbai police had yet to arrest the suspects involved in the attack.
